Birth is a time to be in your body, not your mind and your breath can help you get there
My views on birth are simple. People spend years planning big life events - weddings, engagements you name it but with birth people rock up to a hospital and see what happens. For birth, you can never have a plan, only a preference. You can never know with one hundred percent certainty how, where or when it’s going to happen. The one thing you do know is that your breath will be with you - it’s simply your choice whether you use it consciously or not.
Speaking from experience, the benefits of breathwork during a moment so pure, so natural and so life changing in a woman’s story, can be unreal. This is the reason I created Breathwork For Birth - a two hour program, with recordings and resources included to be used on the big day.
During the course you will learn eleven techniques to focus on different moments during birth
Learn how to connect with our largest breathing muscle to create a strong foundation
Appreciate and explore using the full capacity of your lungs
Engage and strengthen the pelvic floor with the breath
Combine the breath with words, images, and safe spaces
Introducing the count to ground, focus and connect with the breath, body and baby
Build upon the count to calm and regulate the nervous system
Use sound to take you through key moments
Leverage the common yogic breath to turn inward during the peak
Soothing sounds and vibrations for you and baby
Using the breath to follow baby's journey
Breathwork to remain grounded when impromptu moments arise
